Furret

When I was little, I wanted to have a ferret for a pet. Little did I know at the time that they are illegal in California and I was so sad. Furret was a pretty good substitute to fill that little void in my heart. Its adorable, and although Sentret is pretty cute, I have to give the cutness points to Furret.

Skitty

I did not like Meowth from the first generation, mostly coming from the anime, he was annoying and got old super fast. Persian was ok, it was just a giant cat...then third gen came around and we get out first new kitty pokemon. Its pink and adorable and what else is there to saw? Plus Skitty on Wailord action...yeah

Lugia

As a kid watching Pokemon the movie 2000, Lugia was just an awesome looking creature. I was never really a fan of Ho-oh, and plus Lugia had a much more mysterious quality to him. Also the Lugia/Silver arc of the anime is one of my favorite arcs, though how a legendary pokemon can have a child,even though they make it very clear that a legendary cannot breed in the game, I will never know but baby Lugia is cute.

Hitmontop

One of my favorite anime series of all time is Beyblade. What does spinning tops have to do with Hitmontop? Well..he spins on his head and Beyblade is about spinning tops...yeah. Anyways, before I found Beyblade though, Hitmontop was just an interesting design for the second generation.

Corsola 

Another pink pokemon. Something I noticed with a lot of Pokemon is that their colors represent the type they are but Corsola was different...it was pink and absolutely adorable. Yay to pink pokemon

Jellicent 

Ever since the second generation, I have always fell in love with the idea of the different gender of pokemon, it wasnt until Generation 3 (or something like that, correct me if I am wrong) that little differences were being made for the genders. These two I thought were amazing with the gender difference. Jellicent male has a pretty awesome mustache and Jellicent female has that...well I dont know what that thing is called but many queens had them around their necks. Oh yeah and Jellicent male looks like the awesome Pringles guy.

You all thought that Iris had crazy ass hair, check out this guys, its bigger than its entire body. Also I may have jumped the gun on getting one in my Pokemon White version, opting to use my sun stone to get a Lilligant. Also it looks like the little Scape Goats from Yu-gi-oh.

Sunkern'

*Spoilers* 

In the anime, there is an episode of an elderly couple celebrating their golden anniversary with a large group of to be the background of their annual photo. When the Sunflora disappear and all is left is a small little Sunkern, they are over joyed and take a picture with it. It is a sweet story and meants a lot to the couple.

Bulbasaur

Now for Mr. #1 himself. In all honesty, I have never used Bulbasaur in battle, never used him as a starter...just never used him. But that isnt why he is on here, a long time ago, there was a story book of a little boy finding a Bulbasaur in his back yard, the little boy commented that it looked like a toad with a lettuce head on its back. It never occured to me because when I saw Bulbasaur but sure enough he does. I cannot remember the name of the book but if anyone knows what it is called, I will forever be in your debt.

Woobat

Woobat is a strange little oddity, but what is there not to love? Its a blue fuzzy puff with a heart on its nose, its so cute /)^3^(\. In my first year of college, three years ago, I sat next to a girl who fell in love with him and by association, I did too. Every doodle she drew in her notebook was of Woobat and when I friended her on Tumblr and DeviantArt, she would draw desktop wall paper and one of them was of the puff ball. Its cute and I want to hug it.

Squirtle was an anime love, I adored seeing him with his awesome shades and the rest of the Squirtle squad.

Celebi 
One of my favorite Pokemon movies is Pokemon 4ever, the idea of a time traveling pokemon was interesting and unique...at the time. Plus this was the first movie that I ever cried in. Celebi also has a special place in the Soulsilver game, the special event Celebi that takes you back in time to see what happened between Silver (Rival) and Giovanni, it works so well with my own personal head canon and it was nice to see why your rival turned into such an asshole.

Delibird 
He looks like Santa...and he leaves presents that explode. Another one that I fell in love with due to the anime. How when ever he came around to find Team Rocket, you knew there was bad news and a great little explosion. Move over Krampus, I would rather have an exploding gift than being whipped with sticks anyday.

Ditto
The whore of the pokemon world, but it is thanks to him that I can somewhat complete my pokedex. There is an interesting fan theory that Ditto was actually a fail copy of Mew. In the games Red and Blue, Ditto can only be found on Cinnabar Island in the old mansion, and in the cave near Cerulean City, where Mewtwo can be captured.

Rhyhorn
In all honesty...I dont know why I like this one. Rhyhorn just has a pretty cool design and it is always a treat when I catch a Rhydon and train it to this beast.

Horsea
When I first started watching the Pokemon anime, Horsea was my favorite. For the longest time, even everyone's favorite was Charizard, I said 'screw that, gimme a Horsea'.

As unoriginal and uncreative as everyone seem to think that the 5th generation is, I thought this creature was really interesting. I've always been fascinated lanterns and well this was just a perfect little addition to the game.

Wailord
Good Lord (see what I did there? XD) Where do I begin with this guy. He is one the largest pokemon, measuring in at 47 feet in length. While I was playing my brothers Ruby version and captured a Wailmer, I thought he was the derpiest thing in the world, with his little beady eyes and his adorable around body. Then he evolved into this beast. Seriously, look at this thing. Its roundness, those derpy little beady eyes, whats not to love? Also in Pokemon Soulsilver and Heartgold, when you check the height and weight of this guy compared to your character, they just go flying, past the touch screen, past the top screen off into God knows where. Also I nicknamed him Willy, the joke being check out my giant Willy. Plus we all ship the hell out of him and Skitty.

Croconaw

Jhallpokemon

This one is a more recent like. In my Crystal version, many years ago, I would get to the Elite 4 and then quit because I never figured out how to beat them. In those days, I played with all of the Johto starters and I thought he was ok. Actually, while looking online for comics, I came across this one by a dude named Jhallpokemon, where he made a comic on his playthrough of Heartgold. He picked a Totodile finally evolved into Croconaw. But anyways, hes a cool looking guy, reminds me a lot like Bambam from the Flintstones.

Piloswine
Piloswine found its way into my sentimental little heart in the anime. The episode 'As Cold as Pryce', where Gym leader Pryce got really sick and his Piloswine went out to find medicine in a blizzard and ends up getting frozen for ten plus years. Despite the logic that nothing could survive that long, frozen, he lives and battles Ash. It was a really touching episode and I look forward to watching the episode again.

Drifblim
Although I havent had much experience with the 4th generation pokemon, I really looked forward to catching this guy when the newer games came out I just think that this design is super cute. Plus it looks like a hot air balloon. Why doesnt Team Rocket just design their balloon after this guy? What does a flying Meowth head just seem more scary?

Buizel
If Braviary screams 'Murica, this one to me screams Aussie. I am not sure if sea otters are native to Australia but I can see this little guy catching waves and just being a little jokester. The animation for Buizel in Black and While have him spinning his tails around like Tails from the Sonic series.

Alakazam

In all of my games, I was never able to get a stupid Alakazam because it was one of those pokemon where you had to trade with someone in order for Kadabra to evolve and I could never find anyone. That was until my friend and I traded to get a pokemon she wanted and Alakazam was the first one I picked to trade with her. I was very happy and now have an amazing pokemon to add to my collection

Mime Jr. 
Mr. Mime is so creepy. I've hated looking at it and it was just...creepy as hell. Plus it has a female form as well...Why not just call it Mrs. Mime or just make it a single gender pokemon. Mime Jr. is just a lot cuter than Mr. Mime. Hand down.

Pikachu
The very first pokemon game that I ever played was Pokemon Yellow, again, it wasnt mine, it was my brothers and he could care less about Pokemon. What else is there to say about Pikachu that people dont already know. He's the mascot of the entire franchise, the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Pokemon, has merchandise out the ying yang with his face plastered all over it. Pikachu, wont be going away anytime soon, and I will buy anything with his adorable little face one it.

Keldeo
A junior member of the Swords of Justice, hes is an interesting little guy. Just wanting to prove himself to be as strong as his mentors. This one is a truly selfish reason because in the movie Kyurem vs. Swords of Justice, Keldeo is played by one of my favorite anime voice actors, Vic Mignogna.

Venonat 
There are a number of reasons why I really like Venonat. For one, it is one of the pokemon that my favorite character, Tracey, used in the anime. Plus, there is a theory floating around that Butterfree and Venomoth were switched during the productions of the game. This I can completely get behind, many of the traits that Butterfree and Venonat share. This is jsut a theory and gamefreak nor Nintendo have said anything to confirm this but it is fun to see what others think.

My (Personal) top 100 Pokemon

So originally I was planning on doing a top 10 list of Pokemon but then it turns out that I liked a lot more than 10. So I will be posting 100 of my personal favorite pokemon. Some rules though, I have no idea what the hell IV, or EV stats are, I do not battle competitively so if you are looking for those, look on Bulbapedia for those states. These are based on how I used them in the game, anime appearance, and how...cool I think they are. There are going to be a LOT of overated, hated or not loved by fans but I dont care, this is my opinion, you can go make your own list.

Sylveon 
This one I am cheating on, but this is my list and I can do whatever I want. In all honesty, I have never really been one for the Eeveelutions. The original three were ok, I enjoyed the second Eeveelutions in generation two, I never played the fourth generation so I have no idea how Leafeon and Glaceon are in battle, I like their design yes but eh. Sylveon...I think this was a really pretty design, I love its pink and the bows are adorable, plus there is this picture that amuses me a lot. I cannot wait to get more information about this pretty little guy.

Oshawott
This little guy...Ok the freckles did it for me...and the smile. In general, I have never been one for the water starters in game. At first, I didnt really like him so much. He just seemed so...bleh. Then I saw a couple scenes from the anime and he was really cute. I am not a huge fan of the evolution line, but Oshawott is really cute just the way he is.

Mantine

This is a very beautiful looking Pokemon. I might not like the water starters but I love the water Pokemon species. Also find it a little funny that it is also a flying type and it can learn fly. I can just see it flying through the air with  the Dragonites and other flying pokemon. Anyways, beautiful design and thats really about it.

Poochyena 

Hes a puppy, a dark puppy. He is scary and a lot better looking than Houndour. Plus I can watch the scene in the beginning of Pokemon Ruby with the professor being chased by Poochyena all day long.

Chatot

I love pirates, and this little guy just seems so perfect on a pirates shoulder. It is an interesting design with the head in the shape of a music note and the tail, the needle of a metronome. Not to mention I love tropical birds and this one has the most beautiful colors than any of the bird pokemon.

Virizion

Out of all of the swords of justice, Virizion was one that I was really like. The design is very pretty and enjoy looking at its feet, it looks like she is wearing boots. The head dress also looks like boomerang, and I can just see her kicking ass.

Wynaut

I love the baby pokemon. They are adorable, and just so cute. Wobbuffet is is pretty cute as well but there is something about that little eye on Wynaut's tail that made it even cuter.

Growlithe 

Who doesnt love Growlithe? This guy works doe the police department and its orange. You find me an orange dog.

Eevee

I might now like the Eeveelutions but I really love Eevee. Not much love goes to the little guy, hes the one you need to breed 6 times if you want to collect all the evolution types.

Noctowl

Look how freaking BOSS. Way better looking than Hoothoot, thought I will admit that the shiny version of Noctowl is pretty, but none the less, it doesnt change that glare it constantly give the player...just like in this picture.

Azurill 

Another baby pokemon...Azurill, why do you look so sad? Seriously, if you go back and look at all of its other sprites, its all happy and bouncy, but this one...he just looks so sad.
